Meet Us

Tara Lane, CT
(she/her/hers)

Tara is a Counselor Trainee completing a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Xavier University.

Tara’s eclectic background enables her to connect with individuals across a wide range of life experiences. Her Appalachian roots shaped her understanding of life in an under-resourced community. Her career has taken her from software engineering to neuropsychological research to fifteen years of motherhood. Her passion for helping others grow is also reflected in her volunteer work as a tutor and mentor. These experiences shape how she shows up for her clients. She will sit with you in complexity without rushing to oversimplify, all while providing a compassionate space for healing, growth, and empowerment.

Tara works with adults navigating anxiety, depression, grief, trauma, life transitions, and relational patterns. She also supports individuals facing the challenges of motherhood, perimenopause, Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome (EDS) and hypermobility disorders, and postural orthostatic tachycardia syndrome (POTS) and other forms of dysautonomia. She is affirming of LGBTQ+ identities and neurodivergence, and she continually strives to be a better ally and advocate for marginalized populations. She believes everyone deserves a space where their full identity is honored and their experiences with systemic barriers are understood, not minimized.

Tara is working under the supervision of Laura Edwards, LPCC-S.
